Just across from Aquidneck Island, on the other side of the Sakonnet River, sits Tiverton Four Corners, a quaint, functioning New England village with historic charm. The area, which was originally part of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, but is now part of a countryside coastal region in Rhode Island, is the site of several businesses, art galleries and more. Tiverton Four Corners was listed on the National Register for Historic Places in 1974.

Tiffany Peay Jewelry is an eclectic shop in Tiverton Four Corners. In the warmer months, flowers bloom around the front porch, and birds visit the feeder that dangles beneath its peach-colored sign. The building is a former cottage with a peaked roof and brick walkway. Peay sells jewelry, which she makes herself out of rare stones. For 11 years, she has headquartered her business in Tiverton, starting as a jewelry wholesaler and then turning it into a retail outlet.

The Bothelos were looking for a business the family could own and operate and two years ago heard a cheese shop at Historic Tiverton Four Corners was being vacated. They visited, bought the establishment, named it The Cheese Wheel and have worked to transform it into a one-stop gourmet food shop that sells dozens of locally made products.
