2005 TIVERTON FOUR CORNERS HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS!

TIVERTON, R.I. - October 17, 2005 - The Season of Good Cheer will soon be upon us and the Tiverton 4 Corners Merchants Association is busy getting ready for five weeks of celebration and sales in the historic district.

Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20 will kick off the season with stores participating in an Open House. Refreshments will be served.

Shopping in this quaint little New England village, dressed for the season, is a delightful experience without crowds, in an unhurried, friendly and charming atmosphere. It will be a fun and relaxing way to truly enjoy this joyful season.

In addition to holiday sales, in store contests and refreshments, our member stores have these Open House or special events planned:

THROUGHOUT THE SEASON

Shops will be decorated with a charming holiday flair.

Courtyards - Five Festive Fridays -Nov. 25, Dec. 2, Dec. 9, Dec. 16, Dec. 23 - 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.-wine and cheese will be served!

Courtyards - will collect food, and supplies for Forever PawsAnimal Shelter in Tiverton.

Courtyards - Stonewall Kitchens Tastings will be held every weekend until Christmas. Every weekday, cookies and cider will be served.

Toy Mill - The store will display the famous Thomas Trains Special 60th Anniversary -Holiday Collectio- wooden railway. Specially created for the anniversary and holiday, the train is purpose built to ride around a Christmas tree! It is battery powered, contains 20 pieces and is decorated with lights and snow. The trains are for sale for $50.00.

Toy Mill will have in store contests for gift certificates.

Saturday, November 19

Courtyards- Open House and gift drawing. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m; Stonewall Kitchens tastings, with cookies and mulled cider. Shoppers can participate in a drawing for a gift basket worth $300.00; winner will be chosen Monday, November 21.

Crane Brook Antiques and Collectibles - Open House. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Little Purls - Open House. 10:00 a.m. - 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The store will have in-store holiday shopping events throughout the season.

Lou Lou's Decor - Open House. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Refreshments to be served.

Milk & Honey Bazaar - Open House, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Cheese samples, cocoa and cider will be served.

Provender Fine Foods - Open House. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Serving gourmet Kings Cupboard cocoa.

Roseberry-Winn Pottery and Tiles - Open House. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The potters are previewing their newest dinnerware, ornaments and popular beeswax pillar candles.

Stonebridge Dishes -Open House. 9:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Toy Mill - Open House. 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Cookies will be served. Through out the holidays, the store will display the famous Thomas

Courtyards - Author Book Signing event! 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Erin McHugh, local author, will be signing her five books: Who, What, Where, Why When. An entertaining compilation of fact and trivia, they make great gifts at $9.95 each.

Friday, December 2

Lou Lou's Decor - Weekend of December 2-4. Friday and Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. , Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Free Monogramming! Select that extra special personalized gift and save 20% on monogrammable merchandise.

Saturday, December 3

Courtyards - Caroling with the cast of Ebenezer! 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Sing along with Little Compton Community Center performers dressed in period costumes! Refreshments will be served.

Note: The Little Compton Community Center presents the New England premiere of Ebenezer:A Christmas Carol. The group provides drama and musical theater to youth at risk organizations.

Milk & Honey Bazaar - Open House, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Cheese samples, cocoa and cider will be served. Holiday Gift baskets are available, as are Fondue mixes of traditional and non-traditional cheeses, with helpful recipes.

Thursday, December 8

Lou Lou's Decor - Jewelry Trunk Show- 10:00 a.m -7:00 p.m. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Jewelry by KEP Designs, Robin Rotenier, Jewel Ya Designs, Rebecca Norman.

Saturday, December 10

Toy Mill - Drawing for 4 foot tall, Groovy Girl Princess doll. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Saturday, December 17

Gallery 4- Holiday Ice Show! 5 - 7 p.m. Featuring Holiday Ice jewelry by "Glitterlimes" artist Debbie Tuch, and glass, crystal, and wire sculpture and wall sconces by Sue Freda. Also featuring work by various other artists working in the theme of ice. Meet the artists and have some hot cider and iced desserts.

The Toy Mill- Drawing for Knight Kingdom Lego set. 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The Association was founded in the 1980s and has 14 members. Shops are located in restored buildings dating back to 1700s and 1800s.

These independently owned stores offer unique gifts including distinctive children and adult clothing, pottery, cookware and kitchen gadgets, New England and world antiquities, knitting supplies, best selling books, whimsical gifts, gourmet foods, floral decorations and home decor.
